I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky but was raised in Asheville, North Carolina. I developed a love of children teaching swim lessons during High School. I am a graduate of North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Communications. The bulk of my career has been in sales with various non-profits in the Upstate, including the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as, the Greenville Convention and Visitors Bureau. After the birth of my daughter, Catherine, I decided to take a break from working full-time. In November of 2009, I started working as an aid in the Afterschool Program at Spartanburg Charter School. During the following year, I began helping with lunch and recess for the first grade boys and girls, and I assisted with the Yoga classes for Kindergarten through third grade. It is with great excitement that I am joining the Spartanburg Charter School team full-time this fall teaching Character Education and monitoring ISS. I am looking forward to the what this year has in store for our school and its' amazing students.
