Lisa Moe  Position: 2nd Grade-Boys

Lisa comes to us from Wellford Academy of Science and Technology in Spartanburg County District Five.  For the last 2 years, she has worked full time as an Instructional Assistant in a Special Education Developmental Delay classroom of 3, 4 and 5 year old students while completing her Graduate program.  Lisa holds a Masters in Teaching for Special Education and Elementary Education.  Lisa has hands on experience working with children with Autism and Downs Syndrome as well.  She is currently working on her certification to teach Gifted and Talented students.

Prior to her mid life career change to become a teacher, Lisa served for over 13 years as a Captain in the United States Army.  She and her husband, Eric Sr. are veterans of the Armed Forces and have served in a variety of worldwide assignments.  Their son, Eric Jr. is a 10th grader at Dorman High School and was recently elected President of his Sophomore class for the 2011-2012 school year.  Their daughter, Ansley is a 3rd grader at Anderson Mill Elementary and really wants to be a teacher when she grows up.   Sonic, the Jack Russell Terrier and Angel, the Whippet, are also a big part of their family.  The Moe family has lived in Spartanburg for almost 6 years.  Lisa is looking forward to discovering what she and her students will learn from each other this upcoming school year.
