My name is Joy Garner.  I am the part-time Special Education teacher at Spartanburg Charter School.  I received my degree from Converse College and Winthrop University.

As a  native of South Carolina,   I have worked in several different areas of  special education across the state for the last 15 years. I am married and have three children ages, 10, 8 and 5.  I have been with SCS since the opening in 2009.  There are many things I love about SCS, but one thing that makes it a great place to work is  the friendly, close knit staff and  family like atmosphere. It is amazing to watch the school change and grow each year. I am awed by our many accomplishments in just two short year and look forward to watching us grow.
