Position on the Board: 

 

I have a son who has attended the Spartanburg Charter School since the day we opened. I have been supportive of SCS from the time I first attended a public planning committee meeting at the library and heard incredulous words: "We'll buy and renovate a historic school building, have single gender classes, Yoga to teach self-control, attract excellent dedicated teachers and staff, use innovative teaching methods, have parents and teachers work in concert to help their children reach their full potential, view minimum standards as a floor not as a goal and more on a very tight budget."

 

Hard work opened the doors, hard work has kept them open and hard work will keep them open for years to come.
